The Yellowhead Highway is at a single lane near Avola after a vehicle incident late this morning.

Emergency crews were called to the area just after 11 a.m., to unconfirmed reports of a vehicle fire. Further details are not clear, but an air ambulance landed at the scene, according to multiple sources.

DriveBC is telling drivers to prepare for traffic control through that area.
