
Interior Health says there has been a COVID-19 exposure reported at St. Ann’s Academy in Kamloops.
The health authority says the exposure took place on Wednesday through Friday of last week, Jan. 27, 28, and 29. Its not clear whether elementary or secondary students at the K-12 school have been affected at this time.
The private school joins eight others in the Kamloops-area with active exposures, including Sa-Hali Secondary which has had five exposure events reported at the school over a two week period.
There are also active exposures at Marion Schilling Elementary, Valleyview Secondary, Westsyde Secondary, Summit Elementary, Beattie Elementary, NorKam Secondary, and Aberdeen Elementary.
Contact tracing is underway and people who are not contacted by health officials are encouraged to go to school as normal.
There have now been COVID-19 exposures reported at 16 schools in the Kamloops local health area – and fourteen schools have seen exposures this year, thirteen of which are SD73 schools.
