
Kamloops RCMP say at least three people wanted for crimes have been arrested in the past two days.
Const. Crystal Evelyn says one arrest was made Wednesday at about 1 p.m., when police were informed that a man with an arrest warrant was near the 700-block of Victoria Street. Thirty-nine-year-old Kamloops resident James Jarrett Kennedy was arrested and has since been released after appearing in court. He was wanted for escaping lawful custody.
Evelyn says hours later, at 11:20 p.m., police were called to a disturbance in the 100-block of Yew Street, where another wanted man was arrested. Kamloops resident Oscar Junior Camille, has been arrested remains in custody, with his next court appearance scheduled for March 1. The 47-year-old was wanted for breaching probation orders.
And yesterday, Kamloops RCMP were called to attend to a group of people in an alley on Seymour Street. After checking each person, 22-year-old Kelsey Aleah Henderson of Kamloops was taken into custody. She was wanted for breaching probation, and has now been released from custody with an upcoming court date.
