
There were no new cases of COVID-19 reported at Royal Inland Hospital over the weekend.
Interior Health says there remains 105 total cases, which includes 69 staff and 35 patients. The last positive case in the hospital was reported six days ago, and the outbreak remains contained to the hospital’s COVID-19 ward, unit 6 North.
For the past two days, there have been no new COVID-19 cases at any other active healthcare facility outbreaks in Kamloops.
There are 32 total cases at the Brocklehurst Gemstone Care Centre, including 24 residents and eight staff. There were seven new cases reported between Thursday and Saturday, after zero new cases in the previous nine days. Two deaths have also been reported at the long-term care home.
The outbreak at the Westsyde Care Residence is now up to 30 cases, with one new case being reported Saturday. The outbreak includes 16 residents and 14 staff, and one resident has died from the virus in the facility.
Meanwhile, the outbreak at Highridge Home and Singh House in Brocklehurst is up to 13 total cases, with four new cases reported Saturday. That outbreak includes eight staff and five residents.
