Kamloops RCMP say they seized guns, money, drugs, and other stolen items from a North Shore home in the 900-block of 13th Street yesterday.
Const. Crystal Evelyn tells NL News two men and a woman were arrested but later released pending the outcome of the investigation.
“That’s not uncommon for this type of investigation just because we do have to get all our ducks in a row and that sort of thing before we’re able to recommend charges because once we do that the clock start ticking,” she said.
Evelyn says the Southeast District Emergency Response Team and Targeted Enforcement Unit also responded around 6:45 p.m., but she noted yesterday, there was no danger to the public.
“You can see in this one there were a lot of weapons that were seized so we know from past experience that these types of searches can be quite high risk, so its better to let the experts come and assist and make sure that the area is safer,” Evelyn added.
This response police note was part of an ongoing investigation, with officers remaining on scene till late yesterday evening.
