Kamloops RCMP cornered an Audi in part of downtown last night after it had left a crash scene in another part of town.
RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn police were called just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday night about an erratic driver and a hit-and-run accident at the Halston Avenue and Yellowhead Highway.
Evelyn says a vehicle description and license plate were provided to police. About 10 minutes later, the vehicle involved was pulled over on First Avenue near Seymour Street, by an officer doing patrols.
The vehicle was a four-door black and silver Audi.
The driver was ticketed for failing to remain at the accident scene, Evelyn says. She adds that the car was towed because of other infractions.
There was no word on any injuries at the accident scene at Halston Ave. and Highway 5.
