For the second time in less than four weeks, Kamloops firefighters were called to rescue a dog in the city.
In a facebook post, KFR says 170 pound Bruno, a St. Bernard, broke his paw and his owners needed help getting him to a veterinarian.
“It seems one of our crews is specializing in dog rescues. The same team that rescued Bean was there to help pack [Bruno] off to the dog hospital,” the post said. “When your dog is as big as Bruno, it’s not quite as simple as just scooping him up in a dog carrier.”
“No pup too big, no job too small.”
There’s no word yet on Bruno’s condition at this time.

It seems one of our crews is specializing in Dog Rescues… Remember “Bean”, the 4-pound pooch that got stuck in the couch? Well, meet “Bruno”— all 170 pounds of him. Poor guy broke his paw, and the same team that rescued Bean was there to help pack him off to the dog hospital.. pic.twitter.com/3kcV5yhmFh
