UPDATE 4pm – A Kamloops man in his 70s was killed in a crash on the Halston Bridge around 9:15 a.m. this morning.
Kamloops RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn says the man was driving a three-wheel motorcycle and heading east towards Highway 5 when he lost control and hit the centre median.
She says the man was thrown from his bike, while went on to hit a flat-deck trailer that was on the bridge.
“The BC Coroners Service has been notified and is investigating the cause of the man’s death,” she said, in a statement.
Police are continuing to investigate and they’re asking anyone with information to reach out to them and reference file 2021-13394.
The Halston Bridge reopened at 12 noon, after being partially closed for almost three hours.
