The April edition of Radio NL’s Community Town Hall is set for Wednesday, April 28 between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The monthly session sees a Kamloops city councillor join Jeff Andreas on NL Newsday where people have a chance to write, call or text in a question for those around the Kamloops city council table. This month’s edition features councillor Dieter Dudy.
It gets underway following the major news at 4:00. People can call or text 250-374-5345 during the hour long question and answer period. You can also submit a question by emailing nlnews@radionl.com or post a comment to one of our social media channels.
With the pandemic creating challenges for people to connect with local government officials, it provides an opportunity to connect with councillors and raise issues. “Many people out there have questions, but don’t necessarily know how to go about getting an answer. This is their chance,” said Andreas.
“Councillors have issues and ideas that are close to them, but they need to hear from those within the community who have different thoughts and opinions. They need to know about issues and concerns that may not be on their radar unless otherwise brought forward. I hope this is an avenue for Kamloopsians to speak up and ask some questions and hopefully provide a few answers for them.”
