Kamloops RCMP are asking for help in identifying two people of interest after a robbery at a home in the Sagebrush neighbourhood left one person injured.
Spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn says it happened in the 700-block of Munro Street around 6 a.m. this past Monday. She says two men in their 20s had just broken into a house and triggered the alarm. A resident there was injured after they were allegedly forced back into the house when they tried to leave.
Evelyn says the suspects demanded money and then made off with items including a wallet.
“Police are releasing images of two people of interest that police would like to identify and speak with,” she said. “We’re asking anyone who lives around the area and hasn’t yet spoken to police to please have a look at their home surveillance to see if there is anything on it that might help with this investigation.”
At least one of the suspects was white. Both of them were wearing gloves and sunglasses with hooded sweaters – one was brown while the other was possibly black.
Evelyn says the police dog team found the wallet after the robbery but there was no trace of the suspects.
