Kamloops RCMP are investigating after a man made sexual gestures towards a teenager on a transit bus.
Spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn says the young teenager was on the bus with their younger sibling about 4 p.m. yesterday, when a man allegedly made “sexual gestures” towards the teen.
Evelyn says says the kids got off the bus in the Columbia Street West area and noted the same man was looking at them while on foot a short time later. That, she says, led the youngsters to tell some adults who were nearby what happened.
“We are thankful to the youth for bringing this concerning incident to our attention,” she said, in a statement. “Police are releasing an image of the alleged suspect with hope that someone will be able to identify him, or he’ll come forth, and help us further our investigation.”
The suspect was about six-foot-one with black hair. He was wearing a yellow t-shirt and ripped blue jeans at the time.
