Kamloops RCMP are looking for help in identifying a suspect with a teardrop tattoo after an armed robbery on Saturday night.
Spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn says around 8:51 p.m. on May 8, police officers were called to a business on the 900-block of Columbia Street West.
“A man allegedly entered a store, stole some samosas, chips, and a drink, and when confronted by a staff member, removed a handgun from his waistband and warned the employee to stay away,” Evelyn said.
The suspect is a white man with dark hair and a teardrop tattoo under his right eye. At the time, he was wearing a black puffy jacket and black pants with a white logo near the bottom.
“Police are releasing the suspect’s image in hopes that the public can help identify him and further the investigation,” Evelyn added.
Anyone who witnessed the robbery or has information about this incident, is asked to call Kamloops RCMP and reference file 2021-14962.
