
With less success than Billy Miner, an alleged robber from the Prairies who caught a train to Kamloops was promptly arrested last night.
Kamloops RCMP Constable Crystal Evelyn says local Mounties were alerted by the Edmonton Police Service that a man with 11 arrest warrants had hopped a CN Rail train with a planned stop in the Tournament Capital.
Evelyn says the Targeted Enforcement Unit went to the train terminal at about 5 p.m. and arrested a man who had hitched a ride.
Twenty-eight-year-old Travis Musslewhite remains in custody and will be returned to Edmonton for a future court date.
Records show Musslewhite was charged on March 17 after three separate Edmonton businesses were robbed on March 7.
The Edmonton Police Service says Musslewhite was charged with three counts of robbery, three counts of using an imitation firearm to commit an offence, three counts of being disguised with intent to commit a crime, as well as a half-dozen other charges.
