A home in Westmount was damaged by fire early this evening.
Kamloops Fire Rescue was called to the fire at a home at 631 Collingwood Drive at about 6 p.m. Photos from the scene from witness Nathan Ritchie show smoke coming out of a top-floor window on the right side of the home.
Witnesses told NL News the fire appears to have been contained to one side of the home. All residents were able to get out safely, however it’s believed at least one family pet is not accounted for.
It’s not immediately clear what may have caused the fire.
