
Interior Health is reporting a COVID-19 exposure at NorKam Secondary School on two days last week, May 25 and 26.
As has been the case, students and staff who may have been in direct contact with the person who tested positive for COVID-19 are being contacted by health and school officials with further instructions.
If you’ve not been contacted, health officials say it is still safe for your children to go to school as normal.
There are now four active COVID exposures at a school in Kamloops – the others being Sa-Hali Secondary (May 17 to 19), Beattie Elementary (May 17), and Brock Middle School (May 17 and 18).
Elsewhere, there was an exposure to COVID-19 at Merritt Secondary School in the Nicola-Similkameen School District on May 18 and 19, while two schools in Salmon Arm – Salmon Arm Secondary – Jackson Campus (May 17) and Shuswap Middle School (May 18) – are also reporting exposures.
As of publishing, there were 12 schools in the Kelowna area that are currently affected by COVID exposures – eight in Kelowna, one in Lake Country, one in West Kelowna, and two in Summerland.
