The Sandman Centre in downtown Kamloops will be getting more of a Kamloops Blazers feel.
The original trim of teal, blue, and yellow is in the midst of getting an modernized paint job, according to City of Kamloops Parks and Facilities Manager, Jeff Putnam.
“We are going with a modern blue and more a burnt orange on the trim around the facility,” he told NL Sports. “We just want to update the old colours and give it a fresh look.”
Putnam says the ode to the Kamloops Blazers team colours isn’t by accident.
“We wanted to do a bit of a Blazer theme. The late Don Moores and his positive attitude really improved the relationship with the City. This is just a small sample of the result,” he added.
Crews are expected to take up to three weeks to complete the work.
