If you thought parking at Royal Inland Hospital was bad before, its about to get a little worse for the next month.
Interior Health says the parkade at the Clinical Services Building will closed for preventative maintenance starting this Saturday, July 18 until Wednesday August 18.
“The CSB parkade requires a complete closure to replace the traffic coating that protects the concrete surface from seasonal road grime – salt and sand,” Interior Health said. “The existing coating is no longer effective and requires replacement prior to the winter season.”
The health authority says the closure comes at time when staffing levels as well as patient and visitor levels are lower.
Patient and visitor parking will be moved to the staff parkade during the closure while staff will be allowed to park in various locations around the hospital.
