Police took a Kamloops driver off the road this morning who was believed to be driving impaired with a baby in the back seat.
Kamloops RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn says police stopped a vehicle on Vicars Road driving below the speed limit at 3:35 a.m., and says the driver had a child in the back.
She says Mounties demanded that the woman driving do a breathalyzer test but she refused, according to the report filed from the scene.
Not providing a breathalyzer when asked, Evelyn says, “carries the same penalty as providing a sample that registers a fail reading.”
The woman was given a 90-day ban and her vehicle towed from the scene and impounded for 30 days.
