
Health officials say there were 513 new COVID-19 cases today in B.C., as well as one death from the virus.
The single death was in the Interior Health Authority, which reported 271 new cases in total. Elsewhere, there were 108 cases in Fraser Health, 92 in Vancouver Coastal Health, 29 in Island Health and 13 in Northern Health.
Hospitalizations have risen again today, now with 81 people in hospital compared to 72 yesterday. There are 33 people in critical care units.
Active cases have risen by more than 200 today, now at 3,834, with 2,199 in the Interior.
There were just under 27,000 vaccine doses administered in the past day, and now 73.3 per cent of people 12 and older in B.C. are fully vaccinated.
Close to 5,000 people received a first vaccine dose in the past day, and now 82.3 per cent of residents 12 and older have received at least a first dose.
