Two people were taken to hospital in a serious condition this afternoon after a two vehicle crash on Highway 5, north of Kamloops.
BC Emergency Health Services spokesperson Shannon Miller tells NL News they were called out around 2:16 p.m. to the crash which happened near Orchard Lake Road, just south of the McLure ferry turn off.
“Two patients in serious condition were transported by ground ambulances to hospital,” Miller said. “An air ambulance was dispatched but cancelled from the scene.”
Traffic was at a standstill but it is believed to be slowly flowing again though the area.
As of late Friday afternoon, Drive B.C. was not reporting any delays in that area.
NL News will update this story when more details are available.
