Kamloops RCMP have arrested a man on West Victoria Street after a weapons report.

Police were called at around noon to assist CP Rail police, for a report of a man with a weapon.

Const. Crystal Evelyn told NL News a man was arrested at that scene and is now in custody. She says any incident involving a weapon is considered a high-risk takedown.

Further details of the incident are currently unclear.

Anyone with information related to the incident is being asked to call Kamloops RCMP.
