Kamloops RCMP have released a photo of a suspect after a recent theft from a truck in the hopes that someone can help them identify the person pictured.
Spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn says police were told on Monday, Oct. 18, that an iPad was among several items stolen from a truck on the 200-block of Lorne Street downtown after someone smashed the rear driver’s side door.
“Video surveillance captured a suspect image, which we are releasing to the public in hopes that someone will recognize and help us identify him,” Evelyn said.
The suspect in this case is described as a white man who was wearing a light baggy hoodie, a striped toque, dark pants, and light shoes with a logo on the inside.
Police are also reminding people to be careful if they are buying second-hand electronics and tools.
“Take steps to confirm their origin in order to avoid ending up in possession of stolen property,” Evelyn added.
If you have any information about this theft, you’re asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference 2021-36655.
