
Police say a Kamloops man died at the scene of a crash in Sicamous on Saturday night.
It happened just after 7:30 p.m. on the Bruhn Bridge, along the Trans-Canada Highway.
BC Highway Patrol says a pickup truck going eastbound crossed the centre line and hit a westbound pickup truck head on. The driver of the westbound truck was a 48-year-old man from Kamloops who died at the scene. A 52-year-old Alberta man in the eastbound truck was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The highway was closed for about eight hours after the crash, and reopened at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Mounties have not provided further details on the crash, but have asked anyone with information to call BC Highway Patrol in Revelstoke at 250-805-2111, and reference file number 2021-5409.
