Five people were taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash, on Highway 5 this morning.

BC EHS tells NL News they responded around 8:20 am, near the CN Junction Road.

Spokesperson Shannon Miller says of the five patients, two are stable, two have serious injuries, and one patient is in critical condition.

The Highway is open for single lane traffic in both directions, at this time.

There is no word on what the cause of the crash was, but more details will be released as the story progresses.
