Kamloops RCMP say there may be more victims out there after a local man was arrested on Thursday morning, Dec. 9, for committing a series of “indecent acts” while at restaurant drive-thrus.
Spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn says police received multiple reports of a man in a truck committing indecent acts on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, Dec. 7 and 8.
She says a suspect was arrested on Notre Dame Drive just before 5 a.m. on Dec. 9 after investigators set up surveillance in that part of the City.
“Based on the information gathered so far, investigators believe there may be other people who were exposed to the acts and have not yet reported to police,” Evelyn said. “If this sounds like something that may have happened to you recently, or to someone you know, please contact us as soon as possible.”
The suspect was released with a court date and conditions, with Evelyn says charges are anticipated once the investigation wraps up.
Anyone with information about the incidents is being asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2021-42833.
