RCMP say a Merritt woman has been charged after she allegedly invaded a home with a baton back on Oct. 8.
Merritt RCMP Spokesperson Sgt. Josh Roda says the home invasion in the 2400-block of Clapperton Avenue was a targeted attack. In a statement, he says two suspects got into a house and assaulted the owner with a collapsible baton. Both of them were arrested shortly after the incident.
“These acts of violence have no place in our community,” Roda said. “Our officers responded quickly and completed a thorough investigation, which was forwarded to the BC Prosecution Service for charge assessment.”
This morning, Roda said Adrianna Squakin was facing charges including assault with a weapon and mischief.
She has a court appearance in Merritt tomorrow, Dec. 14.
