The RCMP were called to a Columbia street motel early Sunday morning with a report of an aggravated assault involving two men. The events took place on December 12th, just before 7 am.

The victim was stabbed and endured serious injuries, and was taken to the hospital.

The suspect, Brandon Alexander Racier, 28, has been arrested as in police custody, with a court date of December 16th, 2021.

The investigation has revealed the two men knew each other, but the cause of the assault is unidentified.

Constable Crystal Evelyn, RMCP spokesperson states a search warrant was executed, and officer presence remained on scene for the duration of the search.
