Kamloops RCMP are investigating a vehicle theft and crime spree, involving a 28 year old Williams Lake man.
The initial vehicle theft was reported today, along with a fuel-theft, at around 6:45 am, in the Ashcroft area. This was followed by a spike belt deployment, after a Kamloops Police Officer had noticed the stolen blue truck heading on the East Trans Canada Highway at roughly 10:30am.
The driver was taken to custody after allegedly attempting to flee on foot from the scene and officers.
The Williams Lake man resisted arrest, and is now being held in RCMP custody as he awaits a court date.
