
One person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a two vehicle head-on crash at Westsyde Road and Collingwood Drive this morning.
“According to those on scene, a southbound vehicle crossed the centre line on Westsyde Road and collided with a northbound vehicle,” RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn told NL News, noting police, fire, ambulance crews were dispatched around 11:08 a.m. this morning, Jan. 10.
“Both vehicles were towed from the scene.”
Westsyde Road was closed for a while as the crash scene was cleared. Evelyn says RCMP stood down from the scene just before 1 p.m.
Callers to the NL Newsroom around 12:30 p.m., say drivers were heading through Batchelor Heights to get to and from Westsyde while Westsyde Road was closed.
