UPDATE – Highway 99 south of Lillooet will remain closed in both directions overnight because of a rockslide.
Drive BC says the incident – which happened Sunday night – is between Lil’wat Place and Seton Lake Road, roughly eight kilometres south of Lillooet.
Highway crews were conducting geotechnical assessments at the site this morning, but that work is still continuing. but it is not clear when the highway could reopen.
Drive BC expects to have the next update at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.
