The Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame has come our roaring after a pandemic slumber.

Isenor made an impact as a teacher at OLPH where he worked for 38 years. The impression he made on the student body through phys-ed transcended to life itself playing recreational sports and competing in provincial and national championships. The positive effect he has had on people of all age groups is along lasting attribute.
Rob Kuroyama loved baseball as a youth before moving on to fastball in his adult years. He was a slick gloved middle infielder before wrapping up his playing career with the Fox n Hounds which was one of the top teams at the time. The steady hands and keen eyes lead him to curling where he threw third rocks for Barry McPhee`s BC Men`s Champions in 1981 and 1986.
Eric Schweizer enjoyed eye popping success coaching soccer at a number of levels. His teams won 4 provincial community youth title, 6 Okanagan and two provincial championships in high school and then, 3 provincial titles and a national championship at the college level. He was named the 2008 National CCAA Coach of the year in 2008.
Elli Terwiel is a product of Sun Peaks Alpine Club, and went on to ski internationally in slalom events on the World Cup circuit for four years with the Canadian national team. It led her directly to the Olympics as a forerunner in 2010 in Vancouver and a competitor at 2014 in Sochi. She competed for the NCAA Champion University of Vermont where she earned her degree in structural engineering and is currently working in that field in California.
This year’s election of four individuals raises the number of elected members to 119 and the team entering the hall becomes the 26th in the 31 year history of honoring the people who have made an impact in sports.
