A well-known Kamloops guitar maker is offering a reward to the person who returns the stolen mayor’s Chain of Office.

“I have not been asked to do this, but this is a piece of Kamloops history that belongs at city hall,” Mike Miltimore, the owner of Riversong Guitars, said in a post on social media.

He is offering one of his custom-made guitars to the person who does so, “no questions asked.”

“We have had a lot of stuff stolen these last two years and it really sucks, [but] most of our stuff can be replaced, “Miltimore said. “Let’s do what’s right.”

Miltimore says whoever has the chain can reach out to him by phone or through social media. He even says they can drop it off in the mail slot at Lee’s Music with a note, if they so desire.
