It was a feeling that many in Canada were sharing in the moment on Sunday afternoon.
Shouting out "Canada is going to the 2022 @FIFAWorldCup" is amazing.
But shouting it out loud when you're a brand new citizen is a feeling I can't quite describe.@CanadaSoccerEN #CANMNT #ForCanada #Qatar2022 #Kamloops pic.twitter.com/NTMrdcA71y

While there was little doubt in Canada reaching the World Cup heading into Sunday, the Canadian squad made sure the home town fans at BMO Field in Toronto were allowed to ease their minds early.
Cyle Larin scored in the 13th minute to give Canada the 1-0 lead, his thirteenth goal of the qualifying campaign.
A second goal in the first half by Tajon Buchanan in the 44th minute put Canada in the driver’s seat at half-time.

Continuing to dominate the second-half, the Canadian squad was able to pad the lead in the 84th minute with a 3-0 marker from Junior Hoilett.
And as the victory celebrations were underway in the stands in Toronto, a tough own-goal by Jamaican defender Adrian Mariappa in the 89th minute concluded a decisive win for Canada.
