The 419 Tactical Fighter (Training) Squadron from Cold Lake will be making a stop in Kamloops this month.
The jets will reach Kamloops in the afternoon on Friday, May 27, before leaving on Sunday, May 29.
Members of the 419 Squadron – which has Freedom of the City of Kamloops – will be attending the 36 anniversary of the 886 (Overlander) Wing of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association’s annual dinner at the Royal Canadian Legion on May 28.
“886 (Overlander) Wing was created in 1986 as part of the RCAF Association to promote the traditions and heritage of the Air Force in Kamloops, and to maintain a strong relationship with the City of Kamloops and 204 Black Maria Air Cadet Squadron,” Wendy McKenzie, the President of the 886 (Overlander) RCAF Association, said.
In 2009, 886 (Overlander) Wing was also bestowed the Freedom of the City of Kamloops.
There are limited tickets available to the May 28 dinner, which you can get here.
