
UPDATE 5:09 p.m. – Drive BC says the vehicle incident at Little River Rd between Squilax and Sorrento has been cleared.
Drivers should expect delays as there is heavy congestion in the area.
ORIGINAL – Three people are believed to be dead after a head on crash on the Trans Canada Highway at Little River Road between Sorrento and Squilax this afternoon.
“Four paramedic ground units and a supervisor responded [to this crash]. No patients were transported to hospital,” BC EHS told NL News in a statement.
While NL News has heard the highway is expected to be closed “for an extreme amount of time,” Drive BC currently says there is currently a single lane of alternating traffic in the area, with drivers being told to expect delays.
