Kamloops RCMP are asking for help in finding two missing children, an 11-year-old and 13-year-old, in a possible parental abduction.
Police say the boys were picked up by their mother, Kristen Mochrie, who did not have custody during an unscheduled visit last Friday, July 8.
They have not been heard from since, with the boys believed to be with Kristen and her partner, Cory Battilana.
“Their whereabouts are currently unknown,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, said, noting they could be heading to Barriere, 100 Mile, Lillooet, or the Edmonton area.
“Police and family are concerned for the wellbeing of the boys, who are considered missing at this time.”
Asked why an Amber Alert hasn’t been issued, Evelyn told NL News it is because the boys are “not believed to be at risk of immediate harm.”
Evelyn says it is believed they may be travelling in a 1997 red two-door Honda Civic with BC license plate LR520R or a 2017 blue five-door Hyundai Santa Fe with BC license plate KE920K.
William is about four-foot-seven with brown hair and eyes, while Mark is five-feet tall also with brown hair and eyes.
Evelyn says Kristen Mochrie, who may also go by Warawa, is a 37-year-old woman, standing five-foot-two with brown hair and green eyes, while Cory Battalina is 38-years-old, standing five-foot-eight with brown hair and eyes.
If you have information, you’re asked to contact your nearest police department or the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
