The Kamloops Blazers have signed a pair of 2007-born players as they look to the future.
Defenseman Isa Guram and forward Andrew Thomson were both chosen by the Blazers in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.
Guram, a Burnaby native, was part of the Delta Green U15 Prep team in the 2021-22 season. He had 27 points (seven goals, 20 assists) in 28 games, and will play the 2022-2023 season with Delta’s U17 Prep team.
Thomson, a Sherwood Park, Alta. native, played the 2021-22 season with OHA Edmonton U15 Prep team. He had 52 points (17 goals and 35 assists) in 28 games, and will spend the 2022-2023 season with the Northern Alberta Xtreme program.
Both Guram and Thomson will make their WHL preseason debut with the Kamloops Blazers tonight, Sept. 9, against the Kelowna Rockets.
Guram and Thomson join first round pick Nathan Behm as signed players from the 2022 draft class.
