Shahriar Behmanesh is a dentist by trade who has lived in Kamloops for the last three years.
Away from work, he has spent a lot of time volunteering and fundraising for various organizations with a focus on cancer research, the elderly, and the environment.
This is his first attempt at seeking public office, with one of his core issues to ensure that students have the proper skills for life outside of the K-12 school system.
He believes the quality of education the average kid gets these days seems “significantly watered down” and that kids “are not given the tools to reach their full potential.”
