RCMP say two 21-year-old Kamloops men have been charged after a stabbing downtown last year.
Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says the RCMP began investigating after a man went to the police station around 2:40 a.m. on June 27, 2021 with multiple stab wounds.
She says the man was seriously injured at a nearby party on the 600-block of St. Paul Street.
“Following the investigation and subsequent charge recommendation and assessment process, the BC Prosecution Service approved charges and arrest warrants were issued for two people on Sept. 1, 2022,” Evelyn said.
“The accused parties turned themselves into police on Sept. 7, and were arrested without issue.”
Rashad Dario Higgs and Destyn Tory Aird, have both been charged with one count each of aggravated assault.
Evelyn says they were brought before a judge and released with conditions and a court date.
