Jill Hayward has been with the North Thompson Star/Journal since 1993, having serving as editor since 2004.
She is the recipient of the Black Press Jerry Mac Award for outstanding community journalism, and is a Ma Murray Newspaper Awards winner in photography.
Jill is also a recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal and the British Columbia Community Achievement Award.
Currently, she is the president of the North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo Association and serves on the board of directors for the Lower North Thompson Tourism Association.
This will be her first term as TNRD Area O Director.
