This week we hear the story of Blaise Laveay, who at the age of 10, won the Kamloops Jr. Oilers name the team contest with his 1984 submission of “The Blazers”.
Now nearly 40 years later, Blaise is a police officer in Kelowna and high level baseball umpire, but he takes us back to the start of the Blazers and his role in naming the team.
We will also have our regular features… On the Move, Buying & Selling, and others. Plus we’ll hear from title sponsor Ralph Warner of Warner Rentals who presents a few Blazers hot takes.
The Blaze airs Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. on Radio NL and again on Sunday at 4 p.m.
