The Kamloops Blazers had five different goal scorers in a 5-2 win over the Victoria Royals on Friday night as Head Coach and GM Shaun Clouston notched his 500th career WHL win.
Dylan Sydor and Emmitt Finnie scored in the first period, the latter with his first career WHL goal.
Caedan Bankier then found the back of the net in the second, while Connor Levis and Ethan Brandwood rounded out the scoring in the third.
Victoria’s Tanner Scott opened the scoring in the first period, while Matthew Hodson scored in the final minute of the second to make it a 3-2 game.
Dylan Ernst made 23 saves for his second win of the season while Campbell Arnold had 31 saves in the loss.
Friday’s win was the Blazers 22nd straight over the Royals, improving them to 2-1 on the season.
These two teams will meet again at Sandman Centre on Saturday, Oct. 8.
