There will be two new faces on the Kamloops-Thompson School District.
Newcomers Cole Hickson and Jo Kang were elected to replace the retiring Meghan Wade and Joe Small.
They will join incumbents John O’Fee, Kathleen Karpuk, and Heather Grieve as the five trustees representing Area 1 on the school board.
“Honoured to serve the Kamloops-Thompson School District for another term,” O’Fee, who got the most votes Saturday night, said. “Thanks to all the candidates for putting their names forward. It’s a brave and necessary service to democracy.”
Karpuk was second with 10,812 votes, followed by Heather Grieve (9,821), Hickson (8,980), and Kang (6,675).
Shelley Sim, Rhonda Kershaw, Diana Jules, and Cara McKelvey were all acclaimed as trustees for the rural area board positions.
