
Barbara Roden has been acclaimed to another term as Mayor of Ashcroft. She previously served one term as councilor before being elected as Mayor in 2018.
Incumbent councilors Jonah Anstett and Nadine Davenport reelected as councillors along with Doreen Lambert who served prior to 2018 and Jessica Clement.
Incumbent Mayor Ward Stamer will once again be sitting in the Mayor’s seat after he was acclaimed to another term in office.
Incumbent councilors Judy Armstrong, Scott Kershaw, Rob Kerslake, and Donna Kibble re-elected along with newcomers Louise Lodge and Colin McInnis.
After one term away, John Ranta has been re-elected as mayor of Cache Creek. He got 184 votes, beating incumbent Santo Talarico who finished with 113 votes.
Wendy Coomber (102) and Annette Pittman (70) were third and fourth respectively. They were both on council over the past four years.
Ranta was first elected as mayor of Cache Creek in November 1990 and was in office for 28 years, when he lost to Talarico by 26 votes in the 2018 election.
Sue Peters, the only incumbent councillor to run for re-election, will serve another term along with newcomers Kelly Debert, David Dubois, and Carmen Ranta.
David Lepsoe is taking over the mayor’s chair in Chase, replacing the retiring Rod Crowe, receiving 526 votes of 995 ballots cast.
Lepsoe beat out his challengers Steve Scott and Allen Fenton who received 414 and 37 votes respectively.
Incumbent Fred Torbohm was re-elected to council along with newcomers Jane Herman, Colin Connett, and Ron Harder.
Merlin Blackwell will serve another term as Mayor of Clearwater after beating Dean Clifford.
Blackwell received 870 votes, beating out his opponent Dean Clifford who received 111 votes.
Incumbent councilors Shelly Sim, Lyle Mackenzie, Lynne Frizzle, and Bill Haring have also been re-elected in Clearwater, they will be joined by newcomers Ken Matheson and Theresa Braaten.
Robin Smith will once again serve another term as Mayor of Logan Lake.
Smith had 425 votes beating her opponent Jacqueline Newman who received 166 votes.
Incumbent councilors Peter Martell, Marion Bell, and Garry Youd have also been re-elected along with newcomers Lawrence Hart, Chris Candy, and Jim McNeeley.
Denise O’Connor is taking over as the mayor of Lytton, replacing Jan Polderman, who did not seek reelection.
With 87 votes, O’Connor beat out Edith Loring-Kuhanga who got 34 votes and Willie Nelson who got eight votes.
Rounding out an all female council are Nonie McCann (99), Melissa Michell (96), former mayor Jessoa Lightfoot (95), and Jennifer Thoss (71).
Ken Pite finished in fifth place with 69 votes.
Former City Councillor Mike Goetz is now Mayor-elect in the City of Merritt.
Goetz got 859 votes beating incumbent Linda Brown who finished third with 565 votes. Tony Luck was second with 700 votes, with Mike Bhangu rounding out the list in fourth place with 267 votes
First elected in 2008 and reelected in 2011 and 2014, Goetz did not run in 2018.
Just one incumbent councillor – Adam Etchart – was reelected with newcomers Dana Egan, Paul Petroczi, Wendy Charney, Manuel Olguin, and Claire Newman (who was a councillor in Logan Lake since 2008) winning a seat at the table.
Salmon Arm mayor Alan Harrison getting a huge vote of confidence being re-elected with 69 percent of the vote
Harrison beat out his challenges Luke Norrie who got 16.1 per cent and Nancy Cooper who got 14.5 per cent of the votes respectively.
Five incumbents – Tim Lavery, Kevin Flynn, Debbie Cannon, Sylvia Lindgren, and Louise Wallace Richmond – will be returning to the council table along with newcomer David Gonella.
Resort Municipality of Sun Peaks:
Al Raine will serve another term as mayor of Sun Peaks after being acclaimed.
Raine, who was hoping to retire, put his name forward for another term as no other candidate did so. First elected in 2010, he is the only person to serve as mayor in Sun Peaks.
Incumbent Rob O’Toole was re-elected to council along with newcomers Kelly Dye, Julie Kimmel, and Lenard Hrycan.
