The Blazers have made a move to add a depth forward into the mix.

They’ve acquired 18-year-old Shea Van Olm from the Edmonton Oil Kings for a conditional seventh round pick in 2024.

Van Olm is described as an energy guy who plays the game with enthusiasm. He has two goals and one assist in 16 games with the rebuilding Oil Kings along with 15 penalty minutes this season.

The Calgary native was part of the Oil Kings championship run last year, picking up one assist in nine playoff games. He also had 14 points (eight goals and six assists) in 49 regular season games.

He is expected to make his Blazers debut on Saturday night at home against the Kelowna Rockets.
