
You can get a cool $500,000 in your pocket and help a good cause as the Kamloops YMCA/YWCA starts their latest fundraiser.
This years Y 50/50 lottery has a $1,000,000 cap and if they sell out, that means the winner gets $500,000.
Y spokesperson Bryce Herman, telling NL News where the money will be going. “The money of course again is going to stay right here in our community. 50 percent of that is gonna stay to allow the Y to continue to doing the great work that we do right here in the community, enriching lives and of course the other 50 percent is going to go to some lucky individual who’s going to put that in their pocket tax free.”
Herman, says you may want to include some tickets when doing your Christmas shopping. “Great opportunity to get in on some stocking stuffers or if your looking for that hard to buy person and you want something to put under the tree, here’s a great opportunity for ya, so we’ve go lots of buying options, 3 for $25, 8 for $50 and of course you can get 20 tickets for $100.”
Tickets are on sale now with the cut off date January 9, 2023 and we’ll find out who the big winner is on January 17.
Herman says like recent Y lotteries, you can only get tickets online. “100 percent online environment for purchasing, go to www.kamloopsylotto.ca and pick them up there. Great, simple, easy, do it from the comfort of your home but get out and support the cause.”
