RCMP say a 26-year-old Kamloops man is in custody after an armed robbery early Sunday morning, Nov. 20.
Police say they were called to a storefront on the 600-block of Seymour Street around 5:20 that morning, after a man who allegedly stole items took out what appeared to be a firearm when confronted by staff.
“Police obtained a suspect description and relayed it to officers on patrol,” Corporal Crystal Evelyn said, in a statement. “A suspect was located near Battle Street and Third Avenue within minutes of police attendance and was quickly arrested without incident.”
Evelyn says Noel Albert Larkin is charged with one count of robbery. He made a court appearance yesterday and was remanded into custody until his next appearance, scheduled for Monday, Nov. 28.
If you witnessed the robbery or have information about it and have not yet spoken to police, Evelyn says to reach out to RCMP and reference file 2022-41495.
