The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) has promoted Carla Fox to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately.

In a statement, they say her appointment comes after “a competitive and thorough recruitment process” which began after the TNRD parted ways with former CFO, Doug Rae in September.

Hired by the TNRD in June 2022 as the Deputy Director of Finance, Fox had been serving as interim CFO for the past two months, bringing with her 25 years of experience working in government, industry, and at not-for-profits.

“We are thrilled to have Carla bring her leadership and experience to this key position in the TNRD’s finance department,” CAO Scott Hildebrand said, in a statement.

“Carla’s expertise will be important as we continue to strengthen our financial policies and as we look ahead to the creation of our new Strategic Plan.”

Hildebrand says the TNRD has begun recruiting for a management position within the finance department.
