A dramatic scene to the east side of Kamloops on Thursday morning.
A freight train slamming head-on into a CP truck which apparently had been working on the tracks near Lafarge Road at around 10:30am.
The truck then became engulfed in flames.
Indications are the driver of the truck was able to bail out before the crash took place.
Canadian Pacific has confirmed there were no injuries.
“Earlier today (Thursday), a CP freight train contacted a CP vehicle on the tracks. There were no injuries, and there was no derailment,” said CP in its statement. “The incident is under investigation.”
It’s not clear how the incident unfolded.
Train traffic — which had been halted on both the CP and CN tracks for a time — is once again moving.
