A day after helping quash the spirit of their former team, the two newest additions to the Kamloops Blazers squad were — once again — instrumental in helping the Blazers to another victory, this time at home against the Spokane Chiefs 5-2.
It was Daylan Kuefler getting things started for Kamloops about half-way through the first with his 24th of the season to make it 1-0.
Spokane would answer later in the 1st to tie the game after the first.
Just under 6 minutes into the 2nd frame, Ryan Hofer would add his 2nd as a Blazer, and 25th on the season, to give the Blazers a 2-1 lead early in the 2nd.
The Chiefs would equalize on a short-handed marker by Ty Cheveldayoff before Olen Zellweger would restore the lead for Kamloops with his 2nd as a Blazer to take a 3-2 lead into the dressing room after two periods.
Ryan Hofer would then add his 2nd of the night about 11-minutes into the 3rd to make it 4-2.

Kyle Masters added another marker for Kamloops to put the game out of reach for Spokane, which put 24 shots on Matthew Kieper in his first start — and victory — for Kamloops since being acquired by the Blazers from the Pats before the trade deadline.

The Blazers now get a long stretch to relax and recuperate, as they don’t play again until Friday when they entertain the Tri-City Americans.
